Context
Unix timestamps count seconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC and ignore local time zones until display time. That makes them compact and stable for logs, APIs, queues, cache keys, and scheduled systems. When humans read the same value, the displayed clock time may change by locale or daylight saving rules, so UTC should remain the source of truth for storage and comparison.
